When someone is overly eager for entrepreneurship and makes the leap before they’re financially ready, things can get messy. I’ve seen multiple women leave their careers behind with great aspiration to launch their own companies, particularly when it comes to network marketing. The hard truth is that money does not usually come as readily as we expect it to. Luckily, there are many ways to make ends meet should you find yourself in that position.
Here, I am going to share with you three methods of earning some extra pocket change. These methods are certainly not recommended to replace a full time income but they are none the less helpful when the pocketbook is tight.
The first method to MAKE MONEY NOW is easy and practical. Sell your unwanted possessions. I know that’s probably not what you wanted to hear but it’s also something that you have probably been putting off. I know because I’m the same way. But this year I decided to borrow the Nike slogan and ‘just do it.’ And here’s some encouraging news for you. This year I’ve already been able to make an extra $500 just from selling old used items that I would have otherwise donated to Goodwill or just thrown away. I mean an extra $500 dollars in your pocket is not bad.
How to go about it and make selling easy??? Well, I prefer to do everything in an app. Being someone who is always on the go (as I’m sure you are), it just makes sense. There are three apps that I’ve tried out this year for listing items on. I’ve tried Let Go, Offer Up, and Craigslist. To my surprise I never received any responses when I used Offer Up but that’s not to say it doesn’t work. It still has a very high rating in the app store and 3.4 million users seem to be satisfied with it.
I did seem to get a lot of interaction from LetGo, but I’ve never closed a sale through them. I would definitely still consider using them in the future. They also have a high rating in the app store with 716K reviews.
To my surprise, Craigslist is where I received the most interaction and where I CLOSED EVERY SINGLE SALE!!! Crazy, isn’t it? Beyond that, every buyer I had from Craigslist was super normal and exceedingly professional. Every transaction was in cash with zero problems. Surprised? I was too. It was a five hundred dollar surprise!
There are other platforms I have tried as well, but we will save those for another time. Hands down, Craigslist has won my favor with this year’s sales but I still have an immense amount of respect for Let Go and OfferUp. In my opinion, when you are starting out, you should post the same item on all three apps and see which one works for you. I found my favorite.
So go ahead and ‘just do it’. Make some money off of that clutter in your house. I think you will find that it is worth the few minuets it takes and your house will thank you in the end.
The next two methods to MAKE MONEY NOW I’m going to share with you in my upcoming blog posts. I currently do both of them and my hope is that you find them as rewarding, if not more rewarding, than I do.
